Sports Portraiture Project Update

My sports portraiture project is now well underway so I am writing this blog post as a way to update you all on the shoots I have yet to share. Last week I had shoots with three more GB athletes:

Gemma Steel, four time European Cross Country Championships Gold Medalist.

Ashley Bryant, Decathlon Silver Medalist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Ashley is ranked number one in the UK in the Decathlon.

Melissa Courtney, European Finalist for the 1500 metres.

For each athlete I am trying to achieve a slightly different look and pose to ensure that the project remains interesting. I feel as though I have achieved this thus far – Ashley being a Decathlete helped hugely as we had his Javelin for use as a prop.

I will be having a few more athletes in the studio before the end of the year ready to start doing some track shoots at the start of 2017.
